Our client is a large multi-outlet five-star hotel in Bangkok, currently seeking a Spanish Chef de Cuisine to lead the opening of its new Spanish/Mediterranean lifestyle restaurant.
THE ROLE
Starting July 2015
Working closely with the F&B team on the development of the new restaurant
Creating all menus in line with the restaurant’s concept
Identifying equipment needs
Recruiting and training a local kitchen team
Setting standard recipes, presentations and costings for the menu
Working with the Restaurant Manager on the sequences of service
Preparing menus for special events and promotions
Being front of house when required to explain dishes and gain feedback
Controlling costs within the kitchen
Ensuring local and corporate hygiene and health & safety guidelines are met
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Male or female, of ideally Spanish origin and aged between 28 and 45
Proven experience to at least a Sous Chef level within a quality stand alone restaurant
Solid experience within a large busy Spanish/Mediterranean free standing restaurant
Strong training and team leadership skills
Confident in front of house areas meeting guests
Must be patient & even tempered and produce a consistent high level of food.
ON OFFER
A highly competitive salary of between Euros 3,000 – 3,500 per month, net of tax
A Euros 540 Housing Allowance (paid in Thai Baht B20,000)
