Grand Palladium Resorts, Hotel of over 1000 Rooms, located within 25 mins. of Montego Bay(Jamaica) is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Chef de Partie (Indian Chef).
Work Description
Qualification and Experience in Indian Kitchen:
Must have at least three years of experience in traditional regional Indian cuisine
Must have worked at least 3 to 4 years in 5 stars international hotel in the last 5 years of employment in overall Italian modern and creative cuisine style
Must have a deep and clear understanding of Indian food history, tradition, culture
Pre-opening experience’s definitely a plus.
Restaurant Business Strength
Absolutely high quality standard oriented chef to be able to satisfy local and international traveler guests with high expectation.
The Italian chef needs to be aware of the sourcing for authentic Indian products as it will define the success of the restaurant.
Indian Chef will ensure that the menu product selection is tailored to our primary target guests.
Must be well aware of HACCP expectations and ensure high standard of hygiene and work methods are met
KEY COMPETENCIES OF ALL OUR SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS
Capable of working under pressure.
Willing to travel inland and overseas from time to time
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on customer service
Experience in large hotel operation.
Excellent knowledge in international standards of resort ambience
Excellent knowledge of Costing and Inventories
Excellent Leadership skills
Excellent Teamwork skills
Excellent Communication skills
Excellent Human Resources skills in leading and training a large staff compliment
Spanish as a second language would be an asset.
