Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the operation of the entire pastry shop and its employees. The Pastry Chef is responsible for supplying the restaurants and counters of Eataly with Italian pastries, cakes, desserts, cookies, candies and other dolci. Ensures that the products produced in the pastry shop meet the quality standards in conjunction with the Executive Chef. The Pastry Chef may also create new pastries to be offered in restaurants and for retail sale. Manages and schedules pastry cookers to meet the needs of the department. Orders or requisitions all supplies for the pastry shop.

As an ambassador of Eataly products and services, the Pastry Chef is responsible for helping to create and maintain quality experiences for each guest that comes to Eataly. Eataly ambassadors are expected to actively engage with guests and spend quality time with each customer.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Five to seven (5-7) years in a high volume pastry preparation position. Basic computer skills are required. Basic math and measuring skills are required.
Knowledge of Italian pastries and techniques is required.
