We are a family owned hotel with 168 rooms and part of the Historical Hotels of Norway. Guests from all over the world from May – Sept. Large wellness area. Located on the country side (2.5 hrs away from Bergen) in a small village (800 inhabitants) and great starting point for many nature based excursions (HM Queen Sonja’s Panoramic Hiking Trail, “Trolltunga” etc.). Zanoni restaurant is a more exclusive restaurant where our guest look for something extra – both taste and presentation wise. Many come back to our hotel just because of the restaurant.”

We look for a person who will be in charge of our satellite kitchen (a la carte restaurant) “Zanoni”.

It’s a “one-man show” and you will report to the Executive Chef.

Concept: Zanoni restaurant, with its 43 seats, has an open kitchen. Open only in the evenings and closed on Sunday & Monday. We serve international food, based on local raw materials with a slight Italian touch.

Qualifications: We take it for granted that you have the necessary skills, focus on quality all the way and meet all health and safety requirements. We look further for a candidate who is highly creative, motivated and able to work on your own under great work pressure. English speaking.

Accommodation can be arranged. Good conditions for the right applicant. English is a must.

IMPORTANT FOR THE APPLICANT

You must be prepared to work as a lonely Chef, meaning a one-man show in our restaurant without any help. In order to be able to manage that, we reserve tables in a way that you have each 15 min a new table with new guests arriving. The average cover is between 15 and 30 per night. We have the last years offered around 4-5 starters, 3 fish courses, 2 meat courses, 1 vegetarian dish, 1 cheese dish and 4 desserts. Guests can choose as they like, min. two courses.

Service and kitchen works as a team. There is no dishwasher person for Zanoni restaurant, meaning you have to participate in this part. You will also be responsible for the cleaning of the kitchen each evening.
